Welcome to Coastal Seal Mobile Notary & Signing Services (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By using this website and our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Use of Website

​

You agree to use this website for lawful purposes only. You may not use this site to engage in any activity that could damage, disable, or impair the website or interfere with others’ use of it.

2. Notary Services

​

We provide professional mobile notary services in Sarasota and Manatee counties and Remote Online Notary (RON) services to clients located anywhere in the United States.

 

You are responsible for ensuring:

 

  • You have valid, government-issued identification

  • Documents are complete before the notarization appointment

  • You understand the type of notarization requested

  • You are willing and aware at the time of signing

We reserve the right to refuse notarization if legal requirements are not met.

3. Legal Limitations

​

As a Florida Notary Public, we cannot:

 

  • Provide legal advice

  • Prepare legal documents (unless supervising attorney permits)

  • Decide which type of notarization you need

  • Notarize incomplete documents

  • Notarize documents for individuals who appear unaware, coerced, or unwilling

​

Notary services are performed in accordance with Florida Statutes, Chapter 117.

​

4. Mobile Notary Appointments

​

For mobile visits:

 

  • Travel fees may apply based on distance

  • Appointments must be confirmed in advance

  • If the signer is not present, unwilling, or lacks valid ID, full travel fees may still apply

  • Parking or facility access fees (if any) are the responsibility of the client

​

5. Remote Online Notary (RON) Sessions

​

RON services may require:

 

  • Identity verification

  • Credential analysis

  • Knowledge-based authentication (KBA)

  • Audio/video recording (required by Florida law)

​

You consent to these processes by scheduling a RON appointment.

 

RON sessions may be refused if:

 

  • Identity cannot be verified

  • Technology requirements are not met

  • The signer is located outside the U.S.

  • Coercion or red flags are present

 

6. Fees and Payments

 

Fees are based on Florida law and service type.

You agree to pay all applicable:

 

  • Notarization fees

  • Travel fees (for mobile appointments)

  • After-hours or holiday premiums (if applicable)

Payment is due at the time of service.

​

7. Cancellations & No-Shows

​

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment with reasonable notice.

 

Mobile notary fees may still apply if:

 

  • The signer is not present

  • The signer refuses to sign

  • The document is incomplete

  • The appointment is canceled after travel has begun

​

RON appointments may be canceled at least 1 hour in advance.

No-shows may incur a cancellation fee.

​

8. Record Keeping

​

We maintain notarial records as required by Florida law, including:

 

  • Notary journal entries

  • Audio/video recordings for RON sessions

  • Identity verification results

 

These records cannot be deleted before the legally required retention period ends.

9. Privacy

​

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which can be found on this website.

10. Intellectual Property

 

 

All content on this website—including text, graphics, logos, and design—is the property of Coastal Seal Mobile Notary & Signing Services and may not be reproduced or distributed without permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

​

We are not responsible for:

 

  • Errors or omissions caused by inaccurate information you provide

  • Issues caused by third-party platforms (such as RON service providers)

  • Delays or cancellations due to weather, emergencies, illness, or technical issues

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question.

​

12. Third-Party Services

Some services (such as identity verification or payment processing) may involve third-party providers. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or performance.

13. Changes to Terms

 

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
